What David Beckham does, he does well. What he is not is an all-around great player. I have noticed it and I have read where others think that in many facets of the game he is just another player (admittedly at the highest level).
He has done wonderful things for soccer and he has made a big splash, at least for now, in the US but I believe his magic will fade. For one thing, he was hurt before he got here and he has been hurt, and getting hurt more, since he has gotten here. The man is getting kind of old, for this level of soccer, and his body just may not be able to recover like it used to. His days of greatness may be fading.
I believe he will get a lot of money simply because he is Beckham but he will play very little while over here and he probably won't make it the five years he is contracted for.
Don't get me wrong, I don't really dislike the guy, and if he can bring up soccer in the US, I'm all for it. I'm just not a big fan either. I really am kind of indifferent.
